The check-out inspection takes place at the end of the tenancy. The Tenant must have removed all personal items and all cleaning completed by the time of the check-out process. The Tenant must return all keys belonging to the property and leave the flat for the last time.
During the inspection the original inventory will be checked in full. Any discrepancies are reported and recommendations are made regarding the responsibility for damage or wear and tear. Photographs of any major damages will also be taken at this time.
Finally the meters are read and the keys checked. A full report of the clerk’s findings is sent to the instructing party as a PDF, usually within 24 hours.
The return of the deposit is discussed between the Landlord, Tenant and/or Agent.
